TIP
BOOKS - $5.00
Two 153 ticket Tip books, measuring 6 1/8 x 9 1/8
inches. These were used to raffle off merchandise or
award cash prizes. The prize to be awarded was written
in the blank space on the card. The tickets had two
numbers on them. If one of the numbers matched the "tip" number
on the card then that person was a semi finalist, and
wrote their name on the back of the card next to their
other number. When the card was all sold out, the seal
was opened. The winning number was a combination of
the tip number and the number under the seal. Tip books
were very popular in taverns up through the early 1950's.
Books are in very good unused condition.
